Book Journals

I read an interesting article by Cynthia Crossen today on WSJ.com called The Benefits of a Book Journal. She uses it as a way to keep track of what she’s read.

I keep track of what books I’ve read via Goodreads. I love that site! I also keep a book journal, although, my journal is more or less a way for me to jot down thoughts on what I’m reading. I usually have 3 or so books going at a time, so it’s important for me to write down my thoughts while I’m reading. The entries aren’t always pretty but they really help me focus my thoughts, especially when it comes to writing a review. I also post small book lists of goals for the month. I like to see them crossed off on paper. 🙂

Do you keep a book journal? What do you use it for?
